Today in the city of Kenia, Nairobi, an eight-story residential building that was scheduled for demolition collapsed. No information about casualties in the aftermath of the disaster has been reported.

According to the governor of the Nairobi area, multiple warnings had been sent to residents of the building about the necessity of its evacuation. However, some of them refused to leave their homes, which could lead to tragic consequences.

"We sent teams to confirm that all residents had evacuated the building. The residential building had been marked for demolition, and no one should have been inside during the process," said the governor.

Witnesses reported that the building collapsed, raising a cloud of dust and debris. Some of them claim that they heard a rumble and saw the walls begin to crack before the catastrophe occurred.
